Wordle

Wordle: RosemaryEnglishII
In this wordle, I used the following words: Suicide, guilt, death, murder, youth, school, bullying, harassment, mourning, law, felony, crime, self-harm, pain, loss, victim, remorse, criminalization, humiliation, torment, life, punishment, teens, violence and emotional. About a third of these words I chose to represent bullying itself, such as torment, teens, violence, self-harm,  bullying, harassment, school, and youth. I think those completely describe the key aspects of bullying, hitting on the locations, affects, and feelings.  I chose the rest of the words with the intent of relating to elements of crime and death, which is what I’m trying to tie into the topic of bullying.  I chose those sadder terms to make people feel an emotional or empathetic  relation to my topic.

No One Cares until Death

I believe that this post relates to my topic because it touches on the bullying subject and the violence and death that can happen because of it.  The first three people/students in the picture are stating what has happened to them regarding bullying.  The first person states that they are bullied on the bus, the second is bullied in school, and the third online. The final person says no one cares about it until “it’s Columbine”. Columbine is a reference to the Columbine High School Massacre.  Referencing it in this cartoon is showing that no one cares about bullying until it brings death upon multiple innocent people.  It ties into my argument because it shows that bullying can cause people to kill others or themselves, and that no one acknowledges bullies until a death occurs. What is your belief, should people acknowledge bullying before it leads to death?
